Workers Compensation: Can I still receive
benefits if the accident was my fault? Yes, you can still receive workers compensation
benefits if you did something to cause your injury. Workers comp is a no-fault system, which means
you do not have to prove that your employer did anything wrong to get benefits. It does not matter if the injury was fully
or partially your fault or if your employer is to blame, you could be eligible for compensation,
as long as it was not the result of horseplay. Mistakes are acceptable, acting intentionally
foolish is not.
