Wizeline Team Values: Ownership, Diversity & TeamworkOn October 15, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
Hi, I am Jorge Fernandez. I am the Marketing Operation Manager at Wizeline and I am going to talk to you about ownership. Ownership is basically what the word says. To take ownership of a project is to look for solutions before the problems become obvious. At Wizeline we are all interested in having ownership of our projects because that is the difference between showing up for work and showing that your job is important to you. When you take ownership of a project you are actually showing that your job is important to you and that you are going to take the project through to the end. That is why at Wizeline we always support the ownership culture of projects, taking responsibility, always taking the lead, solving everything before problems appear. Hi, my name is Gaby Gutiérrez. I am the Office Manager at Wizeline And I am going to talk a little bit about the diversity that we have at Wizeline. Our office is made up of people from many nationalities, many tastes like… well, people with all kinds of backgrounds from… systems engineers, mostly design, human resources, and we are known for having a lot of respect for the work of others, to have that empathy for others. To know that… that… each person has different ways that they work I am Rodrigo Partida. I am a User Experience Designer here at Wizeline. I am going to talk about teamwork. I love my job at Wizeline because it is extremely collaborative. We have at our disposal communication tools… that substantially facilitate communication among all components of the team. We also have recurring meetings which are not just for addressing the requirements of a client or completing something but rather… rather with the intention of sharing things that we have come across interesting literature, science, new things that are emerging, new trends, so… we share all these tools and feedback is given by everyone and this makes… actually the knowledge of… ten or fifteen people is all at your disposal and… at work you actually feel like part of a team. All the decisions that are made through a lot of iteration of… a lot of constant communication. We are always sketching having white board sessions, and in the board we express our ideas Rather than wasting the time of a developer we discuss if it is convenient which or what function or how to present it Afterwards, we include the developers and of course, they also give us their point of view. So, before doing any work in vain, each decision is made in a collaborative manner. On Wizeline’s teams one finds people absolutely prepared, professionally active, that are always interested in learning and sharing what they have learned. So it is… a company of excellent professional quality and I am very happy to be part of this.
