“The Art of Compassionate Business” by Bruno R. Cignacco | Weekend Book Club RecommendationOn September 21, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
Hi Chester Elton here, 5-times New York Times Best Selling author. Global Guru in Culture and Leadership, and I’ve got a great recommendation
for this weekends book club. It’s “The Art of Compassionate Business” the main principles for the human oriented enterprise. It’s by my friend Dr. Bruno Cignacco. I think I’m saying Bruno’s last name right? To me he’s just Dr. Bruno. Anyway it’s a wonderful roadmap, to how you can get emotionally engaged with not just your employees, with your customers, with your clients, with your vendors. It really is a textbook and a road map to do exactly that. Now I always love to read the chapter titles because I think it gives you a really
good feel for what’s in the book. And what you’re going to notice here is, additional aspects of a loving attitude to employees. Adopting a loving attitude towards customers. Adopting a loving attitude towards employees. You know it’s really interesting. We don’t feel comfortable using the word love in the workplace all that often. And yet that’s what we’re telling people when we really concentrate on what it is to reward and recognize them properly to really make sure that they’re getting
the most out of their talents at work. You know, it’s really interesting, simple
little things that just need a reminder and I love this is one of my favorite sections on page 173, treat employees kindly provide employees with care support during a company’s challenging times. Things we know we should do. He lays it out with the roadmap specific things you can do and what the benefits are. It’s really a great book. I love the cover. I love the concept. I love that he uses the word love. So that’s my recommendation
for this weekends book club. It’s “The Art of Compassionate Business” the main principles for the human oriented enterprise. I know you’ll enjoy it. I hope you’ll buy it. Have a great weekend. Cheers.
