THE ARISTON COMFORT CHALLENGE | THE SCIENTIFIC LEADER – MORTEN RASCHOn November 8, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
I’m Morten Rasch, i’ve been a polar scientist for like 30 years. I’m a physical geographer. Our research is very much concerned with the effects of climate change to Artic ecosystems. One day I was called by Ariston. They had an idea of supporting a research project. So I suggested to them the island of Disko would be a very nice place to establish a hut, give some possibilities for doing extensive research in areas where we haven’t been able to do it before. My son is born in the small hospital on the island. For me Greenland is the most beautiful place on earth.
