Team Building Activity – The Catching Game #72On August 12, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
Necessities for this exercise: An empty room and blindfolds equal to the number of participants. During the exercise you ask the team who wants to be the catcher. The person who wants to be the catcher will be blindfolded and will be placed in the center of the room. All the other persons stand on one side of the room. Their goal is to head to the other side of the room without getting caught by the blindfolded catcher. Everyone will walk on his knies, so everything goes slowly and is safe at all times. If they prefer they can also walk on their knees and hands. The catcher tries to catch as many persons as possible. When the catcher has caught someone the person that has been caught stands still. When all the persons that has not been caught made it to the other side the persons that has been caught will now become catchers as well. In this case three catchers can choose a strategic place somewhere in the room will be blindfolded and will try to catch as many persons as possible. The remaining persons will try to make it to the other side of the room again. Now three more persons has been caught by the three catchers. So six people stand on a strategic place somewhere in the room will be blindfolded, and also try to catch, in this case, the last two remaining persons. Only one person has been caught this time. Everyone removes his blindfold and now sees who made it to the other side and is the winner. The trainer guides the team and applies variations to the exercise.
