Synced Together: AMVs & Their Editors – TrailerOn January 17, 2020 by Raul Dinwiddie
I have things I want to say. I just don’t know how to say them yet. I’ve been editing AMVs for just over a
year. Each of my AMVs really represent where I am in life at that moment. You can see each editor so clearly in their work, and it’s beautiful. Definitely it’s taking up a lot of my free time. They’ve influenced my life a lot. It has really brought a lot of people
together. I’ve made quite a few friends across the globe. Come on, we’ve got you! We come together as artists, united by
this visual medium that we love so much. Welcome to the Anime Expo 2017 AMV Competition! People from all over the country, and in some cases, all over the world get to come together and celebrate odes to anime. It’s really creative what these people can do with just shows that I’ve already seen and then syncing songs up that I wouldn’t have put with them You can do something sentimental and sweet or you can completely twist it around. It’s a work of love — and it shows! I’ve been able to meet more people than
I’ve ever have from all over the world. We’re all just trying to make good art,
and we have a lot of ways that we can grow and learn from each other. What are your AMVs going to be? What’s your style going to be? And why are you making it?
