Three factors affect any leader’s
personal style. One, your personal background which plays a role in determining your
personality knowledge values and ethics. Two, the personalities of your employees They’re individuals with different backgrounds different personalities and different response mechanisms George may not react to constructive
criticism in the same way as say Margie your leadership style may need to vary
from one employee to the next. The third factor is your property each
organization has its own traditions, values, philosophy, and concerns. A good supervisor always considers
the organization itself as he or she develops a leadership style.
It’s also important that you not confuse leadership with power… power is the ability to get others to do
(snoring sound) Now, there are two kinds of power : Personal power is the ability to get
people to act because they want to, no because they have to. The executive committee is doing a

Wake up! The second type of power is positional power, getting people to act because
