I’ve been with Summerland Credit Union
for 23 years now and we’ve got a great relationship. If Summerland Credit Union didn’t give me
the start I wouldn’t be in business. It’s as simple as that. So we’ve had four properties through
Summerland. I’m not very book savvy, so we were under the guidance of Summerland all the way through and they were fantastic, they really were. We’ve been Summerland customers for about
13 years. Yeah I value a local institution
that’s seeking to help the community grow. I’ve been with Summerland for around 25
years. They always know my name. They’re always happy to see me and if a
problem comes up, they take it on board and that means a lot to me in business. Knowing that Summerland Credit Union had
confidence in what we were doing and they were really supportive, I don’t
think we would have gone ahead with it unless we knew that the bank had
confidence in us. The staff that I deal with are fantastic.
I walk in the branch I know the girls and the guys, they know who I am, they ask me how work is going,
how’s the fishing, or the whale watching. They show genuine interest in what I do
and you can’t walk away from that. Summerland have definitely helped us grow our
business and it’s nice just to go in and see a friendly face. You definitely notice the difference between the bank
service and the Summerland Credit Union Service. I really appreciate Summerland’s ecological
priorities and the ethics behind the organisation. What I prefer about Summerland Credit Union to
some of the other major banks is that they’re small enough to know you personally and
large enough to give you all the services that you’d ever want. No plans on leaving Summerland Credit Union at all.
When you’re on a good thing, you stick to it. I’m not impressed with what the big
banks have done in this country, and so I’m proud to be part of a local institution.
