# Shocking result of Jungmin VS Saeho [Happy Together/2020.03.19]

On March 22, 2020 by Raul Dinwiddie

– Let’s now check the RC scores. / – Gosh. First up is Saeho who wasn’t at all in a hurry. – But Saeho… / – The RC part. Did he score higher? I have a feeling he did. You think he scored higher? Well, that’s the trend today. (First score) Saeho first scored 115 points. – That’s right. / – You scored 115 in the RC part. – How much did he improve? / – What do you think? Do you think you did better? I’d appreciate a jump of 20 more points. – 20 points? / – I’d be satisfied with 135 points. I studied hard, you know. You need four more correct answers to score 20 more points. Anyway, through this experiment, I have to show a significant outcome so that it can somewhat help those studying for this test. I did my best regarding what I was given to study. It’s why I’m looking forward to a better score. I’m quite confident, you know. If I put my mind to it, winning first place is easy. (Winning 1st place is a habit too.) Let’s see how Saeho did a month later. (Was there a jump in his score?) Compared to the LC part, the RC part – is harder to score better. / – Right. – You get better at a snail’s pace. / – Exactly. (It’s harder to improve your reading skills.) (Final score) Show us the result. 145 points! My gosh. – Your score increased by 30 points. / – Nice! (He sees a 30-point increase in his final score.) – Also… / – Good job. – You scored 30 points more. / – It’s not easy. Gosh, 30 points. You did better than before. You answered six more questions correctly. You’re right. Our goal was to have Saeho answer about 5 to 6 questions more than he did last time. – That’s right. / – You were on point. He did exactly what we studied for. There were a few questions that I was certain of the answer. I must’ve gotten those right. That wasn’t the case a month ago, right? – Not in the slightest. / – Not for me either. What I found helpful wasn’t the grammar though. There are a few tips the teacher shared in regard to how I should approach the reading part. Even without reading all the paragraphs, I knew what to look for in terms of the answer. Those ones I answered correctly. How much improvement do students normally see after a month of studying for this test? Can they see an improvement? If you are a beginner, it will take a long time – to see improvements for RC. / – Basic knowledge… – You can only increase your score / – It’s hard. once you have a solid foundation. Do they see an average jump of 30 to 40 points? Yes, after a month of studying, you can probably improve by 50 points, but even that’s hard. Once you get the hang of it… Yes, then your score skyrockets. – I see. / – Saeho actually did quite well. Considering it was only a month. I want to congratulate him. – This is amazing. / – Gosh, thank you. Lastly, it’s time to check Jungmin’s score. He’s the one who studied the most. Right. Even Jaeseok recognized his tenacity. – He studied really hard. / – Right. The icon of diligence. Let’s first check Jungmin’s first score. His RC score was 90. (Team Turtle Heo Jungmin) How do you think you did? During the first test, I just gave up on it. This time though, I answered what I knew. I’m sure there was an improvement. You only scoring about 40 would be hilarious though. (A score of 40 would be hilarious.) – Please don’t say that. / – It would be. If that’s the case though, I wouldn’t be able to laugh. (Jaeseok refuses to laugh.) He’ll be invited to the awards ceremony this year. Right. His RC score was 90. Before we see his score, let’s see how both teams have done so far. We’re only comparing the jump in scores. (Jaeseok 55, Jinkyung 130, Saeho 30) The difference in the score jump for both teams is 55 for Team Turtle and 160 for Team Rabbit. If Jungmin’s score improved by 106 points, then Team Turtle wins. I suddenly feel like Jungmin’s going to do it. Could Jungmin lead his team to a win? Let’s first see the last digit. – Must you do that? / – Is this necessary? Can’t you just reveal my score? (The last digit of his score will be revealed.) – What’s this? / – It’s like watching a drama series. Heo Jungmin’s hidden score. Let’s check the last digit first. (The last digit of Jungmin’s hidden score) (He needs 105 points more for a tie) (and 110 points more to win.) (Will Jungmin lead his team to victory?) (Heo Jungmin’s final score) – It’s 0. / – 0? – Gosh. / – Don’t worry. It’s not just zero. (Is he close to getting the winning score?) The last digit is zero. Now, please reveal the tens digit. (The tens digit of Jungmin’s score) (Heo Jungmin’s final score) Is it zero? – What… / – It’s the score difference. Could it be 200 then? – Maybe you got 200 points. / – 200 points? – Right now… / – No way. – You actually did it. / – That was the tens digit. Now, let’s see Jungmin’s final score. What is the hundreds digit? (The hundreds digit of Jungmin’s score) For this experiment, I spent about 1 to 2 hours studying every day. It taught me how lazy I’ve been with my life. I was given a chance to look back on my life. Just think about my improved vocabulary. It’s more than I’d be able to memorize in a lifetime. I don’t think I’ll see a huge improvement, but I’ll at least beat the other team. That’s how I feel. Jungmin would probably have improved the most. He found a sense of achievement while studying and he studied hard. He was like a high school senior in some way. I felt like I was teaching a high school senior. He even took mock exams and then sent me the results. Considering all the hard work he put in, he’ll at least answer 20 more questions correctly. That means a jump of 100 points. Jungmin is the one who put in the most time in his studies. That’s why I look forward to a high jump in his score. The RC part requires tenacity which is why I believe Jungmin could see a huge improvement. (The teachers have confidence in him.) Here is Jungmin’s final score. What is the hundreds digit? (How much did Jungmin improve?) (Heo Jungmin’s final score) (If it’s 1, then Team Rabbit wins.) (If it’s 2, Team Turtle wins.) What? – What is this? / – What? – It’s zero? / – My score is the same? – It’s the same? / – What’s his score? (Jungmin wasn’t able to improve his score.) Seriously? What on earth did you do? Jungmin, you’re a stubborn man. (Team Rabbit can’t believe it.) Jungmin’s score stayed the same. (Jungmin didn’t show an improvement in his score.) Jungmin’s score stayed the same. This can’t be. Isn’t it awfully difficult to get the same score he did last time? How could this have happened? (The reason behind Jungmin’s score)
