[music] So we have a project called Promoting
Worker Health, and it is really geared for dairy producers who have Hispanic
workers, and the goal is actually really to promote health and safety on the farm. So my name is Ana Contreras Smith, and I do the on-farm training for our curriculum that
we have that’s five lesson modules. So I’ll go out to the farms and do those
trainings five different times. The first training is about general hazards. Then animal handling or stockmanship. We have machinery, chemicals, and we also talk about workers’ rights on the farm. They are offered at the times that are
convenient to the dairy operation. We’re very flexible. There’s no charge to it. [laughter] It has been approved by OSHA, and also according to the regulations in
Minnesota, dairy farms should offer trainings to dairy workers every
year. And so this is really a project that is geared to support dairy
producers, dairy workers, and their families, and also really the rural
communities in which these dairies are working. We’re in the middle of
recruiting dairy farms, and we really want to get more dairy farms. [music] [music]
