Playing Tag – The Maze #62On August 28, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
You start the exercise by choosing a catcher and a runner. The rest of the group will stand in parallel lines with their arms widely spread. They remain a double arm length distance so their finger tops slightly touch each other. Make as many lines to form a square. You point to one person of the lines who will be able to change the maze by saying left or right. When he says right everyone will make a quarter turn to the right keeping their arms spread. When he says left everyone turns to the left. The goal of the catcher is to catch the runner as fast as possible. The catcher starts at one corner of the maze and the runner starts at the opostite corner. On a random moment the person who can change the maze says in this case: left. Everyone standing in the maze now makes a quarter turn to the left. The chase continues and the changer now calls out loud: left Everyone in the maze makes a quarter turn to the left so the maze has been changed again. The catcher now almost caches the runner just before the changer says: right. The chase continues and the catcher now caches the runner and two new people will be the chaser and the runner. And a new person will be the changer. Keep going on like this until everyone has been the catcher and the runner once. The trainer guides the team and applies variations to the exercise.
