No.1 thing NOT TO DO! – Marvel Strike ForceOn August 13, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
Hey all, Tony Bing here. Hello and welcome to another guide video for Marvel Strike Force. Now with this video we’re actually going be talking about one thing in the game that you shouldn’t do, whereas in previous videos we’ve normally concentrated on things that you actually should do. Now it concerns the primary currency in the game. You can earn this while you play or you can of course buy it as well. And that is power cores. Now the first impulse with power cores when you start the game, and I know I’ve done this myself, is you buy premium orbs with them. So premium orbs cost 450 power cores and they give you a chance at some pretty awesome looking heroes. Now if we actually look at the heroes that are available within the premium orbs, there is only one hero that is currently exclusive to them and that would be Iron Fist. So if you are a massive Iron Fist fan of course the temptation will be there to buy premium orbs to try and get him. But do bear in mind you can get these orbs for free as you do dailies and as you do events as well. So if we actually break this down what you have is 450 power cores gets you one premium orb that gives you a chance of getting between 15 and 50 shards for a random hero. Now what you’re actually much better spending your power cores on is energy refreshes. And the way these work on a daily basis you can get 2 energy refreshes for 50 power cores a time. After you’ve used the 2 it will then jump up to 100. I believe once you’ve used 2 or 3 of them it jumps up to 200 so that’s really for the whales there. Regarding the amount of energy you get for the 50 power cores it’s 120 energy, so you could buy 9 of them for the same cost of a premium orb. Now if we times 120 by 9, we’ve got 1,080 energy which is a huge amount. Now if we then look at the different levels where you can have the choice of playing it to try and get shards for a character they range from I’ve seen about 12 energy up to 20. So what we’ll do is we’ll take an average and we’ll say for example it cost you 16 energy every time you try this. That would mean for your 450 power cores you can actually get 67 attempts at a level. Now if we break that down for luck, let’s just say for example one in every 2 attempts you do get some character shards there. So you get 2 shards a time, nice and easy math for this one, that would mean that if you choose to spend your 450 power cores on the energy and in turn do levels instead you’ll be getting roughly 67 shards of your own choice for a hero. And that’s over 15 to 50 random shards there, so that’s far superior. Now not only that on top of that when you do levels you will be getting XP to help you level up. You’ll be getting gold. For 67 definite runs through the level that will actually give you over 3000 basic orbs. You’ll be getting ability mats and you’ll also be getting training modules as well. So really if we add all that up together in simplest terms do not spend your power cores on premium orbs. You will get enough of them through actual game play. At the moment I’m stacking some up. I’m gonna try and get a stack of 10, and then I’ll do an opening video to show it off and see how lucky I do get. So as always really I do hope this particular video has been helpful. If you’ve got any questions, if there’s any observations you came to yourself in regards to how to spend power cores then do let me know in the comments below, and I’ll see you all again soon.
