NeuroMarseille – Visite 360° – Poste d’électrophysiologie (ISM)On December 9, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
Hello and welcome to Etienne-Jules Marey Institute of Movement Science. My name is Patrick Decherchi, I am in charge of the Plasticity of Nervous and Muscular Systems team. In our team, we work on plasticity of the nervous and muscular systems after an injury. We essentially look at what happens over time when there has been a muscle or joint injury but also a lesion of the nervous system, either at the level of the central nervous system, or of the peripheral nervous system,
and how these systems evolve over time. We also look at what happens after a repair of this nervous or muscular system. You are here today in front of an electrophysiology setup similar to electrophysiology setups that can be found in all laboratories in Marseille, or even in France, using electrophysiology techniques.
You have right behind me a surgical setup with an anaesthesia system, and right in front of me is this electrophysiology setup.
I let you discover it, you will see its complexity and you will see the devices that allow us to make all these recordings.
