Kennetha Story’s Profession: Animation Team LeadOn September 8, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
I’m Kennetha Story I’m a projects lead of animation on one of our unannounced project. If we imagine the characters in the video game are action figures the animators are the ones who actually posing the action figures and bringing them to life through movement making people believe they are actual humans even though they are just a grouping of polygons. We are definately like puppeteers, a little bit. I’m responsible for the whole animation department and gameplay. So I work with programmers, animators, designers To oversee all of the features that we are doing Always working with each expert in every field to make sure that everything ships on time. I studied Cinema and Communications at Dawson and then I ended up doing Cinema and Communications at Concordia University. Before I decided that I wanted to switch entirely. I knew some people who were studying at the campus Ubisoft at the time I didn’t know if I would really fit, if I would be accepted but I ended up getting in We make games at the end of the day, we are making something that is fun and it’s important that we have our hands on it, wich means we have to play a lot wich is not a bad thing. but it also means that we see it grow from the early prototype stages to becoming more polished and refined Anyone who is looking to pursue animation it’s important to always remain open to challenges remaining open to feedback always willing to grow from other people would be the best feedback Iíd give.
