Huseyin Bas / Team Leader – Dyno TestingOn September 28, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
My name is Huseyin Bas and I’m the team leader at the workshop here in Braine-L’Alleud for the different reliability tests that we perform on automatic transmissions. My duties consist of training the technicians– both new ones and older ones– as a technical support person and helping them in their weekly tasks to carry out different reliability tests. I’ve learned a lot. I’ve been able to put into practice all of the theoretical knowledge I learned at school, and in addition to that, I’ve been able to use and work with various accessories that we don’t have the chance to see in the outside world. What I like the most about my job is bringing my experience to the various young and new technicians who make up the workshop. Since we are currently in a development phase, things change regularly and we are constantly hiring, which means that there are new technicians with little experience which we have to train, and the act of helping them, giving them technical training, is an added value for me in my current job. With all of the changes taking place as well as European and international standards, manufacturers must introduce changes to their vehicles. As the transmission is an essential accessory in a changing vehicle, the transmission itself has to change, and in the same manner, I have to change to reach the different objectives requested and set by the automobile manufacturers.
