How to: Create a Deal in TeamleaderOn November 15, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
To add a deal in Teamleader.
we’ll make our way to the deals module. Where our new favorite plus icon
let’s us add a deal. Since we’re asked for a title,
we’ll just use website. And Jansens pharmaceuticals
as a customer. For related contacts
we can choose between Tom and Jan. We like Jan.
Let’s go with him. The source can also be added.
Let’s just take event as a source. This is a smart step to take as it will
prove very useful later in the statistics. We can set an amount for the deal… …But just leave it blank if you
don’t have the information yet. Jeroen de Wit is the one
responsible for this deal. Teamleader also automatically
generates a deal number. After saving the deal,
we have now landed in the crm module… …On the detail page of Jansens pharmaceuticals. Which has just gained
one new deal. But opening up deals shows us
how the deal also received a color code. This deal is now colored red. Which means it urgently
requires action to be taken. The first action required,
is first contact Needless to say… You have the freedom to define… …Your own phases of a deal
in the preferences. We’ll take that action right now. And are able to tell from
the tracking that we did so. The deals color code has
meanwhile changed from red to blue. Which means that we acted
and let us move on to the next step. After a number of days without action,
the deal will of course turn back to red. Moving on to the next phase,
which is a meeting. A word Teamleader knows all too well. Let’s click on this deal phase. To see that the meeting’s title
has now become the deal title. The customer’s address
has been filled in too. More on this in the next tutorial. That’s about it. This is how you add and take action
on a deal in Teamleader.
