Hand Hygiene at BT MurrayfieldOn March 7, 2020 by Raul Dinwiddie
I’m Dr Cathrine Calderwood. I’m the Chief
Medical Officer for Scotland and I’m talking to people about washing their hands so we
don’t pass on Coronavirus to each other. Everybody’s learning that they need to wash their hands
thoroughly for 20 seconds and so I’m here to teach these guys and everyone else that’s
watching how to do it properly. And this is… I’m Chris Harris. And I’m Sam Skinner. So we’re going to wash our hands. Water. And really coat your hands with water if you can first before you use any soap. So don’t forget the backs of your hands.
As well as your palms. And in between your fingers. Both hands, and then where lots of
germs hibernate is in under your fingernails, and in the nail beds.
So really remember to get your nails clean. And that’s it. Make sure you dry your
hands very thoroughly. Because the water, if there were still any bugs on your hands,
the water lets them stay there longer. So dry hands, rid of everything. Throw the tissues in the bin. That was painless! Hi James Robson, Chief Medical Officer for
Scottish Rugby and National Team Doctor. I’ll be here at BT Murrayfield with the team,
I hope you’ll be here to support us. Stay clean, stay healthy. We’ll have staff on hand to
help you. Please enjoy the game.
