Get to know each other Ice Breakers – Speed Dating #113On August 17, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
During the exercise the team forms duos by making two lines facing each other. You give the team a universal thesis, for example: The number one motivation for people to work is money. Each duo discusses their opinion regarding this thesis for one minute. I think this is true because no one would go to work if he won’t get paid. That’s true in most cases, but there are also very rich people who don’t need to work for money but still do it because they just like it. Each duo goes on for one minute. Now the trainer points to a row which moves one spot to the right so new duos will be formed. And calls out another thesis: Woman are stronger than men. And all the duos discuss this thesis for 1 minute. Go on forming new duos and calling out new theses until each person has faced all persons from the other line to discuss a thesis. In the second round you call out a thesis regarding the group itself. In this case: Social media should be forbidden when we are working. Each duo discusses the thesis for a minute. I agree. You can’t concentrate while being focussed on social media. It should be forbidden on our phones and on our computers as well. Well, I don’t think it should be forbidden, it’s fun to focus on something else sometimes. And we have our own responsibility getting our work done in time. They talk about the topic for one minute. And again you point to one row which moves one spot to the right before calling out another thesis regarding the group. Go on until each person has faces all persons from the other line. The trainer guides the team and applies variations to the exercise. What kind of variations you can read below this video on YouTube. And haven’t you subscribed yet?
