– [Student] I like the enchilada. – [Pupil] Carrots. – [Student] Watermelon. – [Pupil] Hamburger. – [Student] The bananas
at lunch when I buy it. – My name is Linda Johnson and I’ve been at Highland Park for about four years. And I have been working for A.I.S.D. for about 22 years. It’s been wonderful. I start job my job at 6:30 in the morning, cooking for the kids, prepping for the kids. So, we doing a lot of different variety of trying to eat healthy. A lot of different salads, spaghetti and meatballs, that’s one of the kids favorite. Broccoli, the roasted broccoli, they love it. A.I.S.D. has really stepped up to healthiness
and that’s really good. And that’s teaching the
kids to eat healthy. – [Student] I like buying my lunch. And one of my favorite things is cold strawberries and blueberries. – [Pupil] Cook healthy foods so that I get more energy. – I was standing at the register and one of the students pulled on my shirt and I’m looking down
because they’re so little you know and I’m like, yes sweetie can I help you? And he go can I hug you? And I’m like sure you can hug me. You know, you sure can. And then he hug me and he say, thank you. I said, no thank you! He said, I needed that. And I said, no I needed that. It’s always good to see
students come to school and with love on their mind. We all need that. Highland Park has been
a blessing in my life and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
