Developing team work through sports
On September 13, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
So, when working in a team I learnt through
my time being on a sports committee that quite often, teamwork relies heavily on communication
and being able to openly talk to each other. It’s quite good to plan what you’ve got to
do if you’ve got a certain task to do and kind of relates to assigning people different
roles on a sports committee, have people with set roles. I was on the committee as Club
Captain so it was kind of my job to be able to delegate jobs to people and make sure they
were happy with what they were doing and that they knew exactly what was expected of them,
to get the job done. I think an effective team works well when someone does take on
the responsibility of delegating out, but making sure everyone’s happy with that and
everyone knows what they’re doing and kind of organised it as a group as well so it relies
heavily on communication.
