Come With Me to Munich! American Speaking Auf DeutschOn February 16, 2020 by Raul Dinwiddie
It’s 1am, and I have to wake up in 6 hours to go to Munich. Hello guys, welcome to my Youtube channel. Today I’m going to Munich, and I will vlog my entire day in German. Vlog? Vloggen? No… Make a vlog… …uh, of my entire day. I’m going and…it’s…half past 9(am) now. Uh, yesterday evening I went to bed so late. But I’m so excited! I’ve been learning German since August and it’s now February. So, I’m sorry if I make many mistakes. Here’s my outfit. And I have a …shirt from Bershka. This is from Bershka. This is from Zara, but it’s Kleiderkreisel [a second hand store]. These are Topshop and I believe I bought them in Munich. And then my backpack. Earlier I lied. It wasn’t half past 9, it was 8. And….now I’m in…the…central station, because my train leaves at 8:26. I have a train ticket only for one person, but there are other tickets for more than one person. And… …you can ride on every Regional Express train in Bavaria. And also in Munich I don’t have to pay for subway, tram and all the trains. Because my train ticket is good for that too. A little life-update: Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, and… …I don’t have a Valentine. But I made Valentine’s with notes and cards for my friend and my host family. They were really sweet and with candy. But my friend thought it was really strange, because I think in Germany they don’t do very much for Valentine’s Day, but in America normally many people do Valentine’s (stuff). I would always take Fun Dips to school. So, Fun Dips are super sweet American candies, with, uh, blue or red sugar and a stick…which is also sugar. And then you do this and then….yeah. I can’t explain that in German. That was yesterday. Yesterday evening I met a friend in a restaurant or café. And after that, I was in a club in Passau. They said it would be Valentines-ish. And there was nothing. It was just a normal night. but it was fun. And then…I…rode back home on a bus. Then, at half past 2 (am) I slept or 2 I slept. Now it’s 8, so i had 6 hours of sleep. But, that’s alright. I love Deutsche Bahn. It’s always so clean. Not dirty like in America. I read these comments from my “German Products” video. And they are so funny. Because my host family has these scissors for pizza. But that’s not so German. And I think there’s 500 or 100 comments only about the scissors. And they say “Ah, that’s for chicken (for Hähnchen), and not for pizza. Now I’m in Munich. I’ve been sleeping for a whole hour on the train. And I going to go to Topshop, shopping and meet my friends. Here is Karstadt. I don’t know what that is… But I’m going to Marienplatz. And that’s where all the shops are, aaaand…. …where…uh, the clock plays. No. Where the clock is. And it’s very famous. Here is a beautiful building. I don’t know what it is. And here too. I know this building here is something with the government in Germany. When I see this building, I’m think of the Bundestag. And I’m going to Berlin in May, but this is my favorite building in Munich. I really like this T-Shirt a lot, but I know that my friends would say that it’s ugly. So…. And this too, but this is more for clubbing and I don’t need that. I like this so much, but it’s so expensive, and I’m not going to buy it. So, I was here in Oxfam, and I thought it was a second hand shop, and then it was only for books. But it’s okay, because, it is second hand, but without clothes. And they had a book for german as a foreign language. I bought it and it was only 3€ (euros). That is soo cheap. And, yeah 🙂 And now I’m going to Marienplatz to meet with Simon and Sophie. One time i said “Apfel” and not Apple to my host sister. And then, she thought it was sooo funny. Because in Germany they say Apple, not “Apfel”. Ah, historic Germany. And then a protest. I am here and here’s Simon and Sophie. It is really so so beautiful here. Oh my god! All the Germans just got so mad at me for being loud. I have found Piper. And Ian. Hello. Piper said the only thing she wants to do in Munich is to buy an Ice-Coffee, but ice, like ice cube coffee (in Germany ice coffee means with icecream) Are you happy? Bag secured. Piper, it’s in German. Uhm…..”Tüte….gehabt”. That doesn’t make sense. Millie is now here. – Yeah, I am here. And I have Piper’s entire bag, cause it’s very heavy and she needs a break. And…we are so…we are so loud. And I think it’s so embarrassing. We have a new friend. And we’re all gonna eat sushi. Say something in German. Please. Very good? – Very good. What do you have? I have soup, vegetables and also vegetables in these things. I don’t know their names. And then sushi. And what kind of sushi? – Avocado. Very good. – All vegan. Piper forgot her bag in the pharmacy. So much meat. Always meat. More meat. We’re in a new place. I don’t know what it’s called, but here’s a tall yellow building. Okay, so, 2 girls asked me if I make Youtube Videos And then I said “yes”, but they don’t wanna be in my video But it was really so cool, and we’re in Munich and it’s so insane! You are famous. – Montana is super famous. – Nooo…not really. – Famous Life! – Nooo 😀 But it was very very cool. And, yeah, I’m so happy now. We are so stupid. Piper thought that this is a symbol for toilet. But it wasn’t a toilet. Bye Piper. – Byeee. Safe travels! Marie loves Asian things, so we’re in an Asian store. *gasp* Oh my god, I love this. Oh I want to buy this. So, we have found an Indian store. Millie is really really excited. And we bought something. I bought a samosa, that’s here….in my bag. And, I never ate a samosa before. So, maybe it’s gonna be my new favorite food. That man in the store was really nice. And… …these samosas are usually 1,50€. But he asked “Are you a student?” and I said “Yes”, and then he said “Ah, no, only 1€”. So, that was really cool. Ah, here’s Millie. I got me a samosa! Oh my god, normally I don’t like Indian food, but this samosa is sooo tasty. Today we did so many things, but now it’s late. It’s almost half past 9 (pm). And I need my train back to Passau. – She needs to enter her train. – Enter. It’s here. So…..byeeee. It’s almost 10pm. I’m on the train. Aaaand, I’m going back to Passau. Yeah, I’m a bit tired, but my whole day was so, so much fun. And it’s really nice to see American friends. Because, sometimes…it’s just a break and i can speak English, not German. But we spoke a lot of German today So, yeah. Thanks. I hope you… I hope that my German wasn’t so so bad. And that you can understand it. I know that my English videos are usually better, but… It was fun to film in German. And I think that, when I’m talking so much, then I’m learning more German, and I’m improving my German. Thank you for watching my video, and…yeah, byeee!
