Bradley sisters embrace teamwork in Police FoundationsOn September 13, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
We grew up together, we still live
together actually. We both work together and now we go to school together. And I believe, we’re both applying to the same forces. From an early age, we’ve always had a
desire to help others who can’t help themselves. I wanted something more exciting,
something that was different every day. I’d like to work closer with my community.
Teamwork is extremely important at Georgian College. A lot of the courses
offer group work opportunities because in the real world, in a career in
policing, you are part of the team. So it’s an extremely valuable skill.
I think Georgian College really prepares you for a career in policing. We have so
many different classes that we’re taking. Some that are theory and some that are more
hands on. In one of our classes, we actually physically learn how to handcuff the
other person. Our fitness courses are extremely intense but it’s awesome because
it over prepares you for what you’re going to do when you’re in police college. It
really gives you that confidence that at the end of the day, you will be successful.
