A Day In The Life of A Rice MBA: Kavita SinhaOn December 12, 2019 by Raul Dinwiddie
Hey guys I’m Kavita. I’m a first year
Professional MBA student for the evening program. I’ve been doing homework for
probably the last five hours and have quite a bit more.
This is my setup in my kitchen. And that’s my dog who’s been napping this entire time. I’m a little jealous of him. All of the business school activity happens in the Jones
Graduate School of Business which is a building, and we park right under it. What are you guys doing? “We’re building an Egg Drop” For What Class? “Organizational Behavior”
Thanks “We’re putting some actual wood pieces to keep it stable”
I’m trying to do two things at once! Woah! What clubs are you going to join?
“I’m thinking about the Finance Club “Going to join the Beer Club, and maybe even the Wine Club”
Awesome! What clubs are you thinking about joining?
“What’s up Kavita?” “I’m going to join Entrepreneurship, and Finance, and Board Fellows because I care about the kids.” What’s your favorite part about Rice?
“Everything out here is nice, laughing, smiling, telling what’s going on, what you should do: “oh, did you check out this? you can check out
that,” it’s pretty interesting. I’m excited about it.”
What’s your favorite thing about Rice? “I love the student community and within
the Houston area, the connections and the bonds that Rice has and the community at
large are our second to none.” So John, what’s your favorite thing about Rice?
“The food!” Team bonding! So we’ve been at school for three weeks and we’re building some camaraderie. This is Gabby she’s a section one. Salma, section two.
Section one table, and there’s Hunter. Gabby, what’s your favorite part about Rice? “How many friends I’m getting to make and all of the great people I’m getting to meet, and it’s awesome, very fun.” Hey Salma, what’s your favorite part about Rice? “Meeting people.” Jason, what’s your favorite thing about Rice? “You know what Kavita, I think it’s the camaraderie and to everybody it’s the people that you meet.”
